FIFAe esports tournament to kick off in Kazakhstan

16 March 2026, 10:00
In April, the Kazakhstan Football Federation will launch the national esports football championship aimed at forming the national team.

The championship will be organised across several gaming disciplines. Competitions will take place on 6 April (eFootball – console), 20 April (Rocket League) and 27 April (eFootball – mobile).

All matches will be played online, and participation is open to anyone aged 16 and over. Registration is available via the FIFA.GG platform.

Following the Kazakhstan Championship, an extended national team squad of 10 players will be formed, from which the final squad for international FIFAe competitions will be selected.

The project will provide Kazakhstani players with an opportunity to gain international experience and compete against some of the world’s top esports players. It also aims to develop the country’s esports football community and identify new talent.

The project forms part of FIFAe’s international esports ecosystem, organised by FIFA. This season, national associations will identify the best players in their countries and form national teams.

In the current international season, teams will compete in a multi-stage system of international tournaments. National programmes and qualifying tournaments will take place first, followed by the FIFAe Nations League, which will be played over three matchweeks. The best teams from each stage will qualify for the continental championships.

Top-performing teams at the continental championships will qualify for the FIFAe World Cup 2026, the season’s flagship tournament. The finals will be held in Saudi Arabia for the fourth consecutive year.

To participate in the FIFA.GG tournament, users must first create an account on the platform and register as a Team Manager. They must then add players to their team and ensure that each player has their own account.

Next, users must find the relevant tournament, register their team and accept the terms of participation. They must then confirm their entry via Check-In. The final confirmation window will be available for 15 minutes only — during this time, the team manager must confirm the participation of the team and its players. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
