Football Training Seminar for the Visually Impaired Held in Astana
The seminar aimed to improve the qualifications of specialists working with children with disabilities.
Twelve specialists from different regions of the country took part in the event. Most of the participants were physical education teachers from special schools for blind and visually impaired children. As part of the programme, they learned about the specifics of blind football, studied the rules of the game and the methodology of training sessions.
Kazakhstan blind football national team coach Anatoliy Antipin spoke at the seminar, sharing his practical experience in this field.
"It was a very successful event held in Astana. Participants from various organizations across the country gathered here, most of them physical education teachers from special schools for blind and visually impaired children in Kazakhstan.
In 2025, the Kazakhstan Football Federation, together with the Kazakhstan Blind Football Federation and the Dara charitable foundation, visited all such schools across the country. We introduced children to blind football, presented our project and tried to increase interest in this sport.
The specialists who showed interest at that time are now taking part in this educational and methodological seminar. The seminar lasts two days. We hope that as a result we will train specialists who will learn the basics of blind football," said Anatoliy Antipin.
