KFF Technical Director Takes Part in UEFA Share International Seminar

Gennady Skurtul, Technical Director of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF), took part as a UEFA Technical Instructor in the FAW Coach Education seminar held from 16 to 20 February 2026 in Newport, Wales. The seminar was organized by UEFA in cooperation with the Football Association of Wales.

The event brought together representatives of 13 national associations from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, Wales and Turkey.

The seminar aimed to support associations in developing modern Continuing Professional Development (CPD) models for coaches and instructors, based on the principles of lifelong learning and a culture of reflection.

As part of the programme, Gennady Skurtul served as a UEFA Technical Instructor and delivered sessions for colleagues from European federations, presenting the methodology behind the transformation of Kazakhstan’s coach education system — moving from a compliance-based approach towards sustainable learning behaviour and practical changes in coaching competencies.

“Participation in the UEFA Share programme has clear practical value for the KFF: it provides access to best European practices, strengthens our professional network and confirms our chosen direction — building a coach CPD system as a key element in improving player development and enhancing the competitiveness of our national teams,” said Gennady Skurtul.
