From 16 to 18 March 2026, a UEFA Pro licence course experience exchange programme took place in Nyon, Switzerland, with a delegation from the Kazakhstan Football Federation in attendance.

The delegation included KFF Technical Director Gennady Skurtul, as well as KFF instructors Stanislav Pogorelov and Nurzhan Abildaev. Participants from Kazakhstan attending the UEFA Pro licence course also took part in the programme.

The national associations of Belarus, Finland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Montenegro and Scotland were represented at the event.

The programme focused on developing modern coaching philosophy and included analysis of current trends in European football, the transition from playing identity to training methodology, analysis of UEFA competition matches, as well as leadership and team management. Particular attention was paid to match analysis, goalkeeper development and women’s football.

As part of the programme, participants completed individual and group tasks based on video materials, analysed tactical developments, presented their findings in international groups and took part in experience-sharing sessions between national associations.

Among the speakers were leading experts and top-level coaches, including Sean Dyche, Ange Postecoglou and Pia Sundhage, along with representatives of the UEFA analysis hub and UEFA instructors.

Participation in the programme enabled Kazakhstani specialists to gain insight into best practices in coach education, exchange knowledge with European colleagues, strengthen integration with UEFA structures, and acquire practical tools for the further development of UEFA Pro courses in Kazakhstan.
