Volkswagen Junior Masters Tournament Held in Kazakhstan

The 5th annual Volkswagen Junior Masters Kazakhstan football tournament was held in Nur-Sultan, organized with the support of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF).

Six Kazakhstan youth teams took part in the Volkswagen Junior Masters Kazakhstan football tournament: Kairat (Almaty), Astana (Nur-Sultan), Akzhayik (Uralsk), Youth Sports School (Kostanay), Atyrau (Atyrau) , Shakhter (Karaganda). The tournament included the qualifying and final rounds.

According to the results of the games, the winning team will be honored to represent Kazakhstan at one of the most popular and large-scale football championships for young football players - Volkswagen Junior World Masters 2020.

The tournment was attended by the Kazakhstan U-19 senior coach Alexander Familtsev, veteran of Kazakhstan football Vladimir Pavlyuk, assistant senior coach Igor Svechnikov, legendary goalkeeper of the national team David Loria, sports director of FC Shakhter (Karaganda) Murat Tleshev, General Director of FC Aktobe (Aktobe) Samat Smakov and head coach of FC Kyzyl-Zhar SK (Petropavlovsk) Ali Aliyev.

Recall that the Volkswagen Junior Masters is an international junior football tournament, held with the support of the Volkswagen. All competitions are based on FIFA rules. The tournament is recognized by the German Football Association (DFB), which also sets the terms of the game.

Kazakhstan champion teams represented the country four times: in Poland (Warsaw, 2012), Italy (Rome, 2014), France (Paris, 2016) and Germany (Berlin, 2018).

The team of the football center Astana will represent Kazakhstan in the international arena this season. They won the Volkswagen Junior Masters-2019 tournament in Kazakhstan.

At the end of the competition, the participants and partners attended the Kazakhstan vs San Marino football match.
