A grand opening ceremony was held on the left bank of Qyzylorda for the new “Qaisar Arena,” a modern stadium with a capacity of 11,000 spectators. The first match played at the venue was the final of the Kazakhstan Football Cup.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan Yerbol Myrzabosynov, President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) Marat Omarov, Akim of Qyzylorda Region Nurlibek Nalibayev, public figures, and thousands of fans.

KFF President Marat Omarov emphasized that the new arena will play an important role in developing the nation’s football infrastructure:

“This is a modern stadium that will take its rightful place on Kazakhstan’s football map. For the first time, the Cup Final is being held in Syrdarya. I am confident that many exciting and memorable matches will be played here in the future. Let today’s final mark the beginning of a successful history for this arena,” he said.

Regional Akim Nurlibek Nalibayev congratulated residents and guests on the opening of the new facility and wished the teams success:

“Under the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, sports infrastructure across the regions is actively developing, with new stadiums and complexes being built. The opening of such a facility in Qyzylorda is a major event and a source of pride for our region. For the first time, the Kazakhstan Cup Final is being held here — and that’s a special honor for us. I wish both teams success and the fans many new reasons to celebrate and take pride in Kazakh football,” said the regional head.

The arena covers a total area of 20,000 square meters and meets UEFA Category 4 standards, complying with modern international requirements. In addition to the football pitch with artificial turf, it houses halls for boxing, wrestling, fitness, gymnastics, and weightlifting, all built to Olympic standards.

The first floor includes training and rehabilitation rooms, the second floor hosts administrative offices, and the third floor features a conference hall for major events. The facility is also fully equipped for athletes with disabilities.
