KFF President Marat Omarov Awards Winners of the ''Keleshek Mektepteri'' National Futsal Tournament

The national project “Keleshek Mektepteri”, aimed at improving the quality of education, is being implemented on the initiative of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. As part of the project, teams from 20 regions of the country took part in the tournament. The final matches were held today, determining the winners and prize-winners of the competition.

Astana claimed the title, while the Keleshek Mektebi team from Kyzylorda finished second and Turkestan took third place.

Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhuldyz Suleimenova and President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Marat Omarov took part in the award ceremony. The KFF President praised the performance of the young players and emphasised the importance of developing youth sport.

“Dear students, I sincerely thank all of you. Today you showed an intense and exciting game, demonstrating true sporting character and team spirit.

Such competitions give young athletes the opportunity to gain experience and unlock their potential. Today’s matches are the beginning of future achievements.

The Kazakhstan Football Federation places special emphasis on the development of school football. We plan to organise such tournaments on a regular basis. Our main goal is to create conditions for children to engage in sport and to support their overall development,” said Marat Omarov.

The tournament is aimed at developing grassroots sport in schools, promoting futsal and increasing students’ sporting activity.
