Football festival for orphans took place in Kostanay
The first football festival was held in Kostanay, which was attended by over 100 children from 6 orphanages in the city and throughout the region. The event was held jointly with the Football Union of the Kostanay region, as well as with the support of the Akimat of the Kostanay region and FC ''Tobol''.
It should be noted that such festivals will be held under the organization of the Kazakhstan Football Federation together with regional associations within the framework of the UEFA Football and Social Responsibility program in all regions of the country throughout the year. The main purpose of the event is to increase children's interest in sports and promote a healthy lifestyle.
“I have been playing football for two years now, but this match game me lots of experience. Playing against the strong is always interesting. Our rivals are professionals, they feel the team well, they see the field, they act ahead of the curve. There is something to learn. In general, I was very pleased, thank you all for the game,” said Timur Mikhailov, a pupil of the orphanage.
“I would like to express my gratitude to all the organizers of the project. Children are very interested in being at this festival. I think such events should be held as often as possible. There are some players who have already played at major competitions, and there are also beginners. This festival will give children a great experience,”said Ruslan Ibraev, a teacher at the KSU “Center for Supporting Children in Difficult Life Situations in the City of Rudny” of the Department of Education of the Akimat of Kostanay Region.
