KFF President visits Clairefontaine football centre in France

President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Marat Omarov visited the National Football Centre Clairefontaine - one of the most famous academies of world football - as part of a working trip to France.

During his visit, the Head of the Federation got acquainted with the training methodology, the organisation of the training process and the infrastructure of Clairefontaine. Special attention was paid to the issues of building a football system, systems of selection and training of young footballers.

"Children's and youth football is the future of the national team. Today we are actively developing this direction. In the near future, together with an investor, we plan to lay the foundation of a new KFF Academy in Almaty region. Our goal is to create a unique model based on international standards, but adapted to the peculiarities of Kazakhstan training system. The experience of Clairefontaine on training system, infrastructure and player selection will be an important reference point for the implementation of this project," - said the KFF president.

During the working visit, the KFF head met with the heads of the football centre. During the talks they discussed possibilities of co-operation, exchange of experience and application of effective methodologies.

Clairefontaine, founded in 1988 under the auspices of the French Football Federation, is considered one of the leading football academies in the world. Over the years, the academy has trained many world-class players. Its training system, infrastructure and working philosophy have become a benchmark in the development of young talents.
