The Kazakhstan Football Federation has parted ways with Paulo Ricardo Figueiro Silva, better known as Kaká, the head coach of the Kazakhstan national futsal team.

The Brazilian coach took charge of the Kazakhstan national futsal team in 2018 and, over the years, has made a significant contribution to the development of futsal in Kazakhstan, greatly strengthening its position on the international stage. Under his leadership, the team consistently ranked among the strongest national sides in Europe and the world, showcasing a modern style of play, discipline, and a high level of organisation.

At the 2021 Futsal World Cup in Lithuania, Kazakhstan achieved a historic result — reaching the semifinals for the first time and finishing in fourth place. This success marked the highest achievement in the history of domestic futsal and reinforced Kazakhstan’s reputation as one of the leading futsal nations.

In 2022, the team performed successfully at the European Championship, advancing to the knockout stages, and later secured qualification for the 2024 Futsal World Cup. At the World Cup in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan once again finished among the world’s top eight teams.
