The Head of the KFF Refereeing and Inspection Department, Sergei Kentayev, commented on the updates to the Laws of the Game.

- There is information that starting from this summer, the Laws of the Game will undergo changes. As for the Kazakhstani teams, the Laws of the Game changes will affect only participants of European club tournaments. As for the Kazakhstan Championship, Championships of the First and Second Leagues and in other KFF tournaments, the matches will be refereed under the same rules until the end of the season. UEFA and FIFA goal is to preserve the dynamics of the game in order to avoid a large number of stops.

Due to the fact that our championship is held according to the spring-autumn season system, the Kazakhstani arbitors will referee the matches according to the current Laws of the Game. Since March 2020, all of the changes will be implemented. The championships autumn-spring format will hold matches under the new rules, which will take effect since July 2019.

The updated interpretation of the Laws of the Fame will be improved by UEFA and FIFA. Definetely, we will hold seminars with referees and inspectors of our clubs.

It is worth noting that Kazakhstani referees will work under the new Laws in the international tournaments, starting this summer.
