Zhanaozen Football Pitch Upgraded Under ALAÑ Project
The opening ceremony was attended by Zhanaozen Deputy Akim Zhanabay Aimaganbetov, Chairman of the City Maslikhat Galym Baizhanov, KFF Deputy Head for External Relations and Regional Affairs Marat Takenov, sports veterans Asamaddin Tureshov and Dauylbek Zhauynbaev, ALAÑ programme ambassador Didar Sydykbek, as well as KFF representatives Nursultan Elamanov and Sergey Popov.
Speaking at the ceremony, Zhanabay Aimaganbetov and Galym Baizhanov highlighted the importance of developing sports infrastructure for the region, emphasizing that the new football pitch will provide high-quality conditions for training young athletes and contribute to the promotion of physical culture and grassroots.
The renovated pitch features artificial turf supplied by CCGRASS, a FIFA Preferred Provider, and meets UEFA standards. The turf is highly durable, comfortable, and safe for players, making it suitable for both training sessions and official matches.
In 2025, the ALAÑ programme has modernized eleven football facilities across Kostanay, Petropavlovsk, Ekibastuz, Taraz, Aktobe, Qyzylorda region, Uralsk, and Zhanaozen. Renovation of one more pitch in Atyrau is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
The ALAÑ programme aims to develop modern sports infrastructure, create conditions for systematic training of young footballers, and engage as many children as possible in football activities nationwide.
