Adilbek Jaxybekov: 'Football gives meaning to life'

'This is one of the most important holidays for everyone who is engaged in football because it is not only a game for us, football gives meaning to life. Sport number one gives everyone the opportunity to unite, regardless of origin, age and religion, and find new like-minded friends.

Kazakhstani football is developing step by step. Our football clubs and national teams are performing much better now, at the international arena. The victory of our national team in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying match over Scotland was exciting. We still have important matches ahead, and I am sure that our national team coached by Michal Bilek will do their best.

This summer, four football clubs will defend the honor of Kazakhstan in Europe. I hope they will perform even better than the teams, which had achieved success in the European Championships earlier. We have everything for it: skilled players, experienced coaching staff and, most importantly, the love and support of our fans.

Grassroots, youth football, women's football and futsal are also developing. Everyone can play the most popular sport in the best conditions. After all, massive involvement is one of the most important factors for the development of football.
